The Sacramento region is a hub of activity for organizations that are devoted to providing social services, job training, health education, and youth programs to underserved communities. We currently manage after-school partnerships with more than 80 different schools and 4 school districts in the area. Meals on Wheels by ACC is an organization that works to sustain the independence and dignity of elderly people in their homes and communities. They provide a nutritious meal at noon 5 days a week.
SARA is another organization that coordinates the efforts of other organizations and individuals in support of the American River Parkway. Their mission is to guarantee an adequate flow of high-quality water in the river. The purpose of TEAM (The Empowerment Alliance of Multiculturalism) is to help immigrants, refugees, and other underserved people in the Sacramento metropolitan area achieve economic self-sufficiency, social empowerment, and cultural appreciation. Contributions to TEAM will help fund many important projects designed to benefit the animals at the Sacramento County Animal Shelter.
No other organization has provided such incredible opportunities for individuals to learn, network with inspiring leaders in their fields, and get involved in their community. Sacramento is home to a variety of organizations that are making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. From Meals on Wheels by ACC to TEAM, these organizations are working together to ensure that everyone has access to the resources they need. Whether it's providing meals for seniors or helping immigrants and refugees achieve economic self-sufficiency, these organizations are uniting communities and making a positive impact.
